Flip Raises $30M to Manage Deskless Workers
Flip, which offers a messaging-based employee and HR app for blue-collar (deskless) workers, has raised $30m in Series A funding. The funding round was co-led by Notion Ventures and HV Capital — with participation from existing investors Cavalry Ventures and LEA Partners. Prominent business angels, such as the former CEO of Volkswagen Matthias Müller and the founders of German transport unicorn Flixbus, also participated.
The Flip leadership team said: “Over the past year, we have become one of the leading providers of employee apps in Europe. We were thus able to increase our revenue sixfold and quadruple our number of employees. We achieved this mainly because of our strong team, great partners, and our focus on the needs of the deskless workforce. We are proud of how Flip has evolved over the past few years and now with this funding we want to accelerate the company’s growth process, expand our team and conquer new markets.”
Flip aims to improve and streamline internal communications for the 2.7bn deskless workers globally, who work in industries such as retail, manufacturing and healthcare.
The company will use the investment to double down on its core market, the DACH region, expand to other European markets and the UK, and grow its headcount.
